DESCRIPTION:Cadets is an activity-based social group designed to help young people on the autism spectrum aged 8-12 develop friendships and improve their social well-being. Through conversations and activities\, participants have the opportunity to improve their confidence and build their social skills in a safe and fun environment.

DESCRIPTION:Gold Foundation organises regular social groups for young people on the Autism Spectrum from 13 to 18 years of age. \nOur Youth Groups are held in a relaxed and fun environment\, where young people can be social together\, forge lasting friendships and\, informally\, develop social skills and connect with others their age. \nYouth Groups are operated by skilled facilitators while members also have input on their program for the year. \nYouth Group activities include\, but are not limited to: \n\n\n\nMovie nights;\nVideo games;\nBoard games\nArts & crafts;\n\n\n\n\nThemed nights (e.g. Halloween\, birthday parties\, World Autism Awareness Day… etc.);\nScience night;\nHealth & fitness;\nTable tennis; and\nExcursions & events (may incur separate fees).
