Our new centre
Dear Gold Foundation children and families,
Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for your patience while we transition to new accommodation. The great news is that we have now finally secured a new home at Camden Park Community Centre located at 7 Carlisle St, Camden Park. The new site is peaceful, safe, well-resourced and on beautiful grounds.
Over the next few months leading into the Christmas period, we are refurbishing our facilities, so we plan to only run the Youth Group program at our new home from October – December with exact dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
We invite all parents and children to visit our new home and see our facilities first-hand. Our administration staff will be there every Monday and Thursday from 10.00 am – 5.00 pm to welcome and show you around as well as be available for any enquiries you may have.
Our new home at Camden Park Community Centre is four times bigger than our previous Unley home. It has a dedicated cottage for the younger Gold children, a great Youth Group facility, themed program rooms, training rooms, enclosed and safe outdoor recreation areas and parents’ waiting rooms.
From February 2020, as part of our expansion of services, we will be running programs 5 nights per week with weekend and school holiday programs plus in-house therapy and counselling services. There will be multiple programs on offer following our reopening and a significant announcement about our new University partner for extended post-school opportunities.
We are also planning our end of year Christmas party (December) at our new home and as previously promised as a ‘thank you’ to our Gold family members for your commitment during this transition period we will be honoured if you could join us for lunch as our guests.
This event will not be open to the public and it will give you the opportunity to experience our home firsthand and register for the new programs and services. At this lunch, you will also have the opportunity to meet our new partners, facilitators, consultants, mentors and Gold staff. I will also be present to chat with you firsthand and share a cup of coffee.
I look forward to seeing you all again at our new home and welcome all our families to an exciting journey ahead.
Sincerely,
Angie Pangallo
