Kate Moody

Program Facilitator

Hi! My name is Kate. It really is a privilege to be part of the team at the Gold Foundation as a Program Facilitator.

I work as an SSO with the Education Department, with students who have Autism/Asperger’s and children with intellectual/learning disabilities.

My background includes yoga, meditation and family therapy as the Founder of my own business, where I had the privilege of mentoring people in my restorative wellness programs and working with children who have autism and their families. I have also worked at Women’s Shelters and Homeless community organisations, supporting women and children who have been affected by domestic violence and trauma and in the health, government, corporate and women’s services sectors.

My recent career change with the Education Department and the Gold Foundation has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences.

Outside of work my interests include hiking in nature, walking along the beach, Latin dancing, scuba diving and spending time with family and friends.

The Gold Foundation is a wonderful community for children and families to be supported and feel a sense of “belonging” that’s cultivated within the social programs, youth groups and support for parents/ carers.
