The Inclusive Regional Hospitality Program is a new 12-week program where young autistic people learn the ins and outs of how to work in the Hospitality Industry from highly experienced mentors, with the potential of future employment opportunities at Gold Foundation’s ‘Shine Like Gold!’ Mobile Café or KOM Café.
This program is especially for young people with autism in regional South Australia, to help young people build valuable workplace and life skills. Our aim is to create meaningful employment opportunities for young people with Autism in regional areas that may otherwise not receive the same opportunities! With a second trailer coming soon, we’ll be able to create even more opportunities across regional SA.
To encourage participation, we have a special offer! See below.
The program is split into three modules:
Module 1 (weeks 1-4): coffee education/basics, espresso machine & hands-on experience.
Module 2 (weeks 5-8): customer service, POS machine, food handling, health and safety procedures, stock management, & cleaning.
Module 3 (weeks 9-12): hands on experience working at both KOM Café and the ‘Shine Like Gold!’ Mobile Café (subject to bookings).
